Episode 103: Giving Back In Proton Packs With Ghostbusters Toy Drive Telethon Hosts Luna x Mars & Charlie Rivera

As we celebrate Thanksgiving here in the U.S. the season of gifting and giving is now underway along with Ghostbusters Toy Drives!  Joining the show this week are your 2024 Ghostbusters Toy Drive Telethon hosts Luna x Mars of the NYC Ghostbusters and Charlie Rivera of the LI Ghostbusters! We chat about the upcoming Ghostbusters Toy Drive Telethon they'll be hosting on 12/2 on YouTube, what it means to do charitable work under the banner of Ghostbusters in the New York City area, and wrap up the episode with a watchalong commentary track for the only Real Ghostbusters episode to ring in the Thanksgiving holiday with a kaiju battle between Mr. Stay Puft and Murray the Mantis!  Plus get filled in on the week's Ghostbusters headlines (or mostly  Jim's ongoing anxiety over the HasLab Ecto-1 campaign).

Episode 95: "Ghost Stories of a Haunted Firehouse" Revisited

This episode we're revisiting a classic Extraplasm episode from 2022 and introducing some new details and updates to an ongoing story! Back in 2022, Episode 10: Ghost Stories of a Haunted Firehouse covered the history of Fire Station 23 in Los Angeles - better known to many of us as the interior of the Ghostbusters Headquarters in the first two movies.  Nearly two years later, Jim's revisiting the episode for a remastered experience with improved audio, better editing, and -- most importantly -- an update on the effort of LA Department of Cultural Affairs and the Bureau of Engineering to convert the firehouse into a youth arts center.  And of course, the episode opens as usual with new Ghostbusters headlines.  Whether you're a newcomer to Extraplasm or a long term listener, there's something new for you in this week's episode!
