Episode 26: When Extraplasm Met Pizzaplazm with Chris Sorrentino

Extraplasm and Pizzaplazm unite and catalytic conversational conversion runs rampant! @ReelGhostbusters artist, comedian, podcaster, and authentic Staten Island Guy Chris Sorrentino joins the podcast for an interview that quickly devolves into two Italian/Irish Post-Catholic New Yorkers making each other laugh!  We talk about the NYC Firehouse, Chris's Reel Ghostbusters series and plans for an art book, his comedy podcast "Super Live Adventure Podcast"  work as a production artist for TruTV's Impractical Jokers!  And then the podcast devolves into a pitch for a raccoon themed rip-off of Cats to take place now and forever at the Winter Garden Theater, and other random chaos!

Episode 23: Charitable Features and Animated Creatures with Steven Shea

Steven Shea has worn many hats - including first guest of Extraplasm Podcast - but among his greater roles are that he was the writer of the Ghostbusters Afterlife tie-in app game Ghostbusters ScARe, he is a writer, director, and founder of Abyssmal Entertainment, and he's a valued member of the Los Angeles Ghostbusters! Since we talked in depth about his experiences working on ScARe in the very first episode of Extraplasm, Steven's been busy! Episode 22: Two Timer Tony Taylor Talks Toys ’Til Terrific Topics Turn Terrifying!

Tony Taylor of Fantazm Toys returns to the podcast as guest co-host! We ping-pong our way through headlines over the last two weeks and Jim editorializes a bit about the DLC and new  features and changes in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed.  Then we discuss Fantazm's successful "Slimeball" figure release, the Matty Collector eBay prototype listing Jim missed out on (and apparently Tony didn't) and our reflections upon Muncher and his place in Ghostbusters narratives, marketing and culture. We also chat about our hopes and dreams for Ghostbusters toys we've yet to see officially released (and a couple that Fantazm Toys may be fulfilling at a mailbox near you, soon!) before accidentally crossing into parallel conversational minefields full of live proton  grenades about a certain unreleased Ghostbusters script, 1947 Packards, and that one time Seth Green met a trash can!

Episode 21: Out of the Ghost Trap & Into the Edit Bay with Derek Osborn

Television and film editor and Ghostbusters historian Derek Osborn joins Jim for a conversation as we wrap up January and start the second month of 2023!  Fans of the documentary film "Cleaning Up the Town: Remembering Ghostbusters" will know Derek's work well, as he was a co-editor on the project.  Derek provides insight in our conversation about how he got involved in the project, some things he learned along the way, and his hopes about what we'll continue to uncover about the history of Ghostbusters both from the new films in production, as well as his collaboration with Bueno Productions on a forthcoming Ghostbusters 2 documentary. Plus Jim discusses headlines of the week including the forthcoming improvements to Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed that have been revealed in dev streams on Twitch, new merchandise offerings from Magnoli Clothiers, and some pesky rumors about the next Ghostbusters movie in need of a good squashing!

Episode 19: HasLabs & Hand Grenades: An Extraplasm Ectotorial

The show's back on the West Coast as the HasLab Proton Packs continue to ship eastward from Chino, CA!  First get filled in on the Ghostbusters Headlines from the last week!  Then, join Jim for a review of the HasLab Proton Pack and some reflection on Hasbro's handling of the Ghostbusters toy license, Ghostbusters fan culture with regards to toy and merchandise releases, and elevating "fan joy" over "fan anguish and catharsis" for happier busting.  It's a "bottle show" this week (if podcasts have such a thing) as we're without a guest - but you can feel free to bring your own bottle!
